Job Title Strategic People Partner Location Asda House Employment Type Full time Contract Type Permanent Hours Per Week 37.5 Salary Competitive salary plus benefits Category HR Generalists Closing Date 24 June 2026 Job Description About the Role We’re looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Strategic People Partner to join our People team. This is a high-impact role where you’ll partner with senior leaders across our Logistics network to drive strategic people initiatives, support organisational transformation, and enable a high-performance culture. This role will be working closely with our trade union, so we are specifically looking for someone with previous experience in industrial relations in a logistics environment. This is a hybrid role with travel to our Logistics sites which are nationwide. What You’ll Do Lead the delivery of the industrial relations strategy and plan, ensuring alignment with Asda’s broader business strategy and people plan. Work closely and collaboratively with our trade union. Partner with the senior leadership team, to deliver our priorities, evolving culture and capability. Champion a culture of inclusion, engagement, and continuous improvement across our logistics network. Work closely with the Logistics & Supply Partnering team to deliver our collective outcomes. Collaborate with Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and People Services to deliver seamless people solutions. Use data and insights to influence decision-making and drive measurable outcomes. Navigate complex ER cases and support leaders through change and transformation. About You Proven experience in a strategic HR or People Partnering role, within a logistics environment. Proven experience working closely and collaboratively with trade unions. Strong ER knowledge. Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate business strategy into people priorities. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. Comfortable working with data and using insights to inform decisions. Resilient, adaptable, and solutions-focused. CIPD qualified or equivalent experience preferred. Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
