Are you passionate about patient care and looking to join a dynamic team? The Surgical Division within the NPTSSG Service Group is currently recruiting Band 3 Wales Nursing Support Workers across all ward areas.

Main duties of the job

As a Nursing Support Worker, you will play a vital role within our multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care to patients. You will be supported and supervised by our Registered Nursing team, ensuring you have the guidance needed to excel in your role.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Provide personal and clinical care to patients with minimal supervision, as delegated by a registered healthcare professional, in line with the HEIW All Wales Guidelines for Delegation.
Regularly update registered healthcare professionals on patients’ conditions and progress.
Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment, adhering to infection prevention and control policies.
Support the teaching and supervision of students and junior staff.
Uphold Health Board/Trust Values and the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales.

Essential criteria

1. •Level 3 qualification in a health care related subject Or Equivalent experience and can evidence work based competency demonstrating theoretical knowledge, and the ability to undertake clinical care duties relevant for the role which is gained through experience and worked based training/short courses.
2. •Good communication skills – verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and sensitively

3. •Experience of working within a relevant health or social care environment, providing direct patient care.
4. •Experience of working within the NHS.
