We are currently recruiting for a Chartered Financial Planning practice in Saffron Walden, seeking a Senior Paraplanner to support their team of successful IFA's. The role involves managing a pod of 1 adviser and 1 administrator.
Role
1. Provide full technical support to the IFA team, including Directors, Chartered Financial Planners, and Financial Advisers.
2. Assist in delivering bespoke solutions to advisory and discretionary clients across all aspects of financial planning.
3. Prepare advanced technical reports and liaise with wrap platforms and product providers for investment information.
4. Conduct research independently and with an IFA to identify suitable financial solutions.
5. Perform product research and analysis to produce comprehensive financial planning reports and identify opportunities.
6. Review client portfolios and compile annual suitability reports.
7. Utilize FE Analytics for research on fund performance, volatility, and risk.
8. Prepare cash flow plans, incorporate system outputs into reports, and assist in client presentations.
9. Perform tax calculations to ensure accurate advice when appropriate.
10. Assist in preparing client meeting documentation, emails, and correspondence as part of the advice process.
11. Manage client queries and support existing clients daily.
12. Stay updated on legislative changes and product developments through CPD activities, seminars, and workshops.
Minimum Requirements
* Previous industry experience as a Paraplanner with technical report writing within an IFA firm.
* At least Diploma Level 4 qualification; advanced exams in investments and pensions are advantageous, along with progress towards Chartered status.
* Strong technical knowledge of investments, pensions, retirement solutions, protection, and IHT planning.
* Experience with wrap platforms and main tax wrappers.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Support experience with advisers, including correspondence, research, and report writing.
* Good interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
* Proactive attitude with a 'can do' work ethic.
* Ability to manage a busy workload independently.
