Junior Garment Technologist

A fast-growing international streetwear design company is looking for a Junior Garment Technologist to join their Development team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Head of Garment Tech and Development, supporting the full product lifecycle from technical documentation and fittings through to production with overseas manufacturers. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on with garment construction and thrives in a fast-paced fashion environment.
The Role
You will collaborate closely with the Design and Production teams to ensure the development timeline runs smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
* Creating and maintaining tech packs, graded size specs and construction notes
* Supporting sample fittings, measuring garments and recording fit comments
* Reviewing fabric and garment test reports and liaising with manufacturers to resolve issues
* Communicating with overseas suppliers to monitor production progress
* Maintaining block libraries and technical documentation
* Assisting with fabric and trim sourcing in collaboration with the design team
* Supporting general development and production administration
About You
* A degree in Fashion Technology, Pattern Cutting or similar
* 1–3 years’ experience as an Assistant or Junior Garment Technologist
* Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making and grading
* Experience creating tech packs and technical specifications
* Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator
* Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Experience working with menswear, wovens or outerwear would be highly beneficial.
