As a Monitoring & Observability Engineer, you'll work in high-impact delivery teams that support some of the world’s most well-known organisations. You’ll play a key role in helping our customers achieve greater visibility, performance, and reliability across their IT estates—contributing to their operational success through proactive insight and incident prevention.
What you'll do
1. Design, implement, and manage observability solutions using industry-leading tools such as Dynatrace (primary), Grafana, and Splunk
2. Collect and analyse telemetry data (metrics, logs, traces, events) to diagnose and resolve system and application performance issues
3. Integrate monitoring platforms with ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow) and CI/CD pipelines to enable proactive alerting and resolution workflows
4. Act as a Monitoring & Observability SME within customer delivery teams
5. Support incident response activities and postmortems by identifying patterns, root causes, and optimisation opportunities
6. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define and implement best practices in observability and monitoring
7. Attend customer and project meetings to present monitoring solutions and technical designs
8. Proactively identify and highlight risks that could impact solution success
What you'll need
9. Strong experience deploying and managing observability platforms including Dynatrace, Grafana, and/or Splunk
10. Deep understanding of telemetry signal analysis and performance monitoring
11. Experience integrating observability tools with ITSM platforms and DevOps toolchains
12. Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues using monitoring insights
13. Solid scripting experience (Python, PowerShell) for automation and integration
14. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and monitoring containerised environments (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
15. Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking to draw meaningful insights from data
16. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
17. Experience working in Agile project environments (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
18. A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing

19. Dynatrace Associate & Pro
20. Splunk Core Certified Power User
Desirable Experience
21. DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience
22. Automation with Terraform or similar tools
23. Building CI/CD pipelines
24. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for packaging and deployment
25. Ability to adapt to new technologies in fast-paced environments
