SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Erdington Weekly Pay: £444–£455 Start Date: September 2025 We’re looking for compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support young people aged 11–19 who have a diagnosis of Autism, and an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in place. What You’ll Be Doing: Supporting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, working alongside teachers to deliver personalised learning plans. Helping to create a calm, structured environment that promotes positive learning and social development. Collaborating with a supportive staff team and accessing professional development opportunities to grow your skills. We have multiple roles available on a full-time basis, where you will be working on a long-term, ongoing basis starting from September 2025 onwards. About the Setting: A specialist provision for students with autism and complex communication needs, aged 11–19. All students have an EHCP and benefit from an adapted curriculum focused on developing independence and life skills. Supportive leadership team and clear staff progression pathways. Positive and inclusive workplace culture, with training and CPD readily available. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEND is essential. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to build trusting relationships with students and colleagues. Passion for supporting young people with additional needs. Must be able to provide suitable references and pass an enhanced DBS check.
