Bertrams (Crow Wood) in Burnley are recruiting for an Apprentice Chef. The successful candidate will work towards completing a Level 2 Production Chef apprenticeship over the duration of 15 months.
You will be working in a large kitchen with a range of different stations carrying out duties such as:
• Knife Skills
• Menu and Dish Preparation
• Allergen awareness
• Diet & Nutrition
• Fish, Meat, Poultry, Stocks, Sauces, Soups
• Butchery
• Food Safety
• Hot & Cold Deserts
• General housekeeping of the working area
• Self motivated and enthusiastic
• Desire to learn
• A passion for working in a kitchen with fast pace environment
• Attention to detail
• Cleanliness and hygiene
• Punctual
• Good attitude towards learning and for them to be committed to complete their apprenticeship
36 hours per week / 30 minutes lunch break / 4 days working a week / hours to be discussed during interview
