Field Service Engineer
Location: Northamptonshire (Field-Based)
Salary: DOE | Hours: Monday–Friday | Overtime Available
Our client is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join its growing service team.
This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role focused on installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing electro‑mechanical production equipment across the UK.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Installing, commissioning, servicing, and repairing customer equipment
* Responding to breakdowns and completing planned maintenance
* Diagnosing and fixing electrical and mechanical faults
* Ensuring all electrical work meets safety and compliance standards
* Testing completed work and resolving any issues found
* Producing clear service and customer visit reports
* Managing company vehicle, tools, and stock
* Delivering a professional, friendly service to customers
* Working safely and in line with company and industry H&S standards
* Staying overnight when required
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 3 years’ experience servicing electro‑mechanical equipment
* Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
* HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent engineering qualification (electrical bias preferred)
* Full UK driving licence (up to 3 points accepted)
* Confident working independently in a field service environment
* Forklift licence desirable (training available)
