Yard Operative Location : Knowsley, L33 Pay : £12.21ph Shifts : 07:30-17:00 Days: Monday-Friday Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Yard Operative to join a growing team working with our client based in Knowsley. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining outdoor areas, assisting with production and maintenance tasks, and operating various tools and machinery. Duties Perform lifting and manoeuvring tasks of construction materials within the yard Operate machinery, feeding panels through cleaning machines Working within a team based in the yard to operate the equipment to clean/maintain panels safely Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and upkeep Support larger construction projects by preparing sites and moving materials Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard and work areas Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines Eventually progress to other roles within the company through training and upskilling Requirements Prior experience/knowledge in yard work or labouring is essential Mechanical knowledge related to machinery and power tools is advantageous A steady, solid and referenceable work history, demonstrating a history of longevity and progression Ability to operate equipment and cleaning machinery safely Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance procedures Physical fitness to perform manual tasks in outdoor environments Good organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions This role offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about outdoor work and construction.
