Role Profile
Our client is a growing privately-owned business, who have recently invested over £2 million into new production equipment and facilities to scale with growth. As Quality & Compliance Manager, you will take ownership of the company's quality, safety and regulatory standards across its Runcorn operation, which includes goods-in, storage, fulfilment, production and packing. Working closely with production, warehouse and technical teams, you will lead internal audits, manage external audits, deliver training, and embed a culture of quality, compliance and "doing things right" at every level of the organisation
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensuring BRC accreditation and managing audits.
2. Ensuring GMP standards are followed and continuously improved.
3. Ability to manage and develop QMS systems and ISO implementation.
4. Lead and manage audits.
5. Embed best practises for quality across production, storage, fulfilment and packing.
6. Coach teams on compliance and quality behaviour.
7. Work closely with senior leadership, proving reports of quality performances, trends, risks and improvement initiatives.
8. Manage and investigate non-conformances.
Key Skills & Experiences
9. Strong background in Quality & Compliance, ideally from a Food/Pharma or FMCG background.
10. Strong understanding of both BRC and GMP quality standards.
11. Ability to influence at all levels.
12. Hands-on experience of working with QMS systems.
13. Experience of working with bonded warehouses preferred.
14. Excellent communication skills.
15. Strong data analysis skills, including root-cause analysis skills.
16. Knowledge of Health & Safety principles.
