DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Application Engineer Placement Student to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Power Systems Business Segment in Peterborough. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence on Summer 2026.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
1. Support the department on key tasks and projects working both independently and within teams.
2. Support delivery of technical seminars in the factory and onsite.
3. Working in a team environment and learning how to make decisions in a collaborative way.
4. Provide technical support to Dealers & Distributors.
5. Interacting with different functions and Cummins factories worldwide.
6. Sourcing, interpreting, and developing technical data and work towards agreed deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
7. We are looking for a wide range of students currently towards an Electrical/Mechanical/Automotive Engineering degree.
8. Good communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn new skills.
9. Good Microsoft Office skills are required including Excel, CAD skills would also be beneficial although are not essential.
10. Flexible and proactive attitude with a desire to learn and take on responsibilities.
