Experience
* Good knowledge of Microsoft development technologies
* Visual Studio 2022 onwards
* Strong C# / .NET experience
* Net / .Net Core Web API development experience
* API documentation generation tools
* Experience using IoC containers
* SQL Server experience
* Experience using Entity Framework
* OOAD skills and good understanding of Design Patterns and Practices
* Web services (SOAP and /or WCF)
* Unit testing / Test Driven Development
* Distributed WinForms systems development
Desirable
* Familiarity with DevOps tools for managing work items and source control, with TFS experience being a plus. Alternatively, experience working in a source-controlled, continuous integration (CI) environment.
* Background in the finance or pensions sector, with an understanding of industry-specific requirements and practices.
* Proficient in SQL Server query optimisation, including performance tuning and the implementation of efficient indexing strategies.
What You Will Be Doing
* Designing and implementing Web APIs to support a well-established Pensions Administration platform
* Conducting thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and error-free code.
* Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to both internal teams and external clients.
* Managing and providing ongoing support for both internal and hosted system environments.
* Developing and enhancing WCF services, as well as updating and refining WinForms user interfaces.
* Overseeing the preparation of software releases, ensuring proper versioning, documentation, and deployment readiness.
