Role Overview
Join the Diabetes Specialist Nurse team at Aintree Hospital, assisting in the delivery of treatment, education and care for people with diabetes and their families. The Nurse Associate will provide high‑quality, compassionate care under the supervision of a registered nurse or appropriate healthcare professional, focusing on health promotion and independence. You must have completed a 2‑year Trainee Nursing Associate training programme (Foundation Degree equivalent) and be able to deliver person‑centred care with confidence and competence.
Qualifications
* Completion of a 2‑year Nursing Associate training programme
* Demonstrate commitment to continued professional development
* Minimum 2 years clinical experience in healthcare
* Understanding of the scope of the Nurse Associate role within the Diabetes Specialist Nurse team
* Knowledge of when to seek advice where appropriate
* Good effective communication skills
* Able to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Desirable Criteria
* Interest or experience in diabetes care
* Appropriate UK professional registration
