Support Worker Care and Support - Vane Hill Care Home Contract: Full Time Salary: £12.71 Per Hour Shift Type: Days Contracted hours: 34.5 Vane Hill Care Home is a specialist service in Torquay, set across two Victorian houses overlooking Torbay. The home provides structured, enablement focused support for adults living with mental health conditions, including Korsakoff’s syndrome and Alcohol-Related Brain Damage, promoting independence, stability and wellbeing. Support Worker – Days, Waking Nights and Bank £12.71 per hour Contracted hours available, 34.5 hours per week with alternate weekends Bank, zero hours also available Day shifts and waking night shifts available Pension, paid DBS, uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) Role Overview As a Support Worker, you will provide high quality, person centred support to residents living with mental health conditions within a structured and supportive environment. This role is open to both new and experienced candidates, with full training and support provided. You will support residents with personal care, mobility and daily routines, encouraging independence and promoting dignity at all times. You will follow individual care plans, monitor wellbeing and respond appropriately to any changes in residents’ needs. During waking night shifts, you will ensure residents feel safe, reassured and supported throughout the night, maintaining a calm and secure environment. Working closely with the wider team, you will contribute to a positive and consistent environment across the home. Your role will have a direct impact on residents’ confidence, wellbeing and overall quality of life.
