Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Kettering, East Midlands
Salary: Up to £60,000 plus up to £10,000 bonus
Home: 4-bed EBD (currently three young people)
We are looking for a Registered Manager to take the lead in a well-established, Good-rated 4-bed home in Kettering. The team is steady, the young people are settled, and the foundation is solid, the focus now is on keeping that consistency, building the culture, and helping the home move from good to outstanding.
You will be joining a family-run provider that backs their managers properly, not just with words but with real support: high staffing levels, strong compliance input, and senior leaders who stay involved without interfering.
The Deputy has been in post a long time, the home runs smoothly day to day, and there is a genuine emphasis on care that is structured, therapeutic, and based on real relationships.
What you will be doing:
* Overseeing daily life in the home, from safeguarding to staffing to placement stability
* Leading, coaching and supporting your team, including a strong Deputy
* Keeping care plans, audits and compliance where they need to be without losing sight of the work on the floor
* Building positive working relationships with Ofsted, local authorities and external agencies
* Embedding a therapeutic, child-centred culture based on empathy, clear boundaries and reflective practice
What we are looking for:
* Either already Registered or a strong Deputy ready for your first home
* Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or close to finishing)
* A solid understanding of trauma-informed practice and behaviour support in EBD homes
* Someone who leads calmly, consistently and is not afraid to get stuck in when needed
* Confident with regulations, but driven by what is right for the young people
* Full UK manual driving licence
What is on offer:
* Salary up to £60,000 plus up to £10,000 bonus
* High pay rates across the team to support culture and stability
* Hands-on senior support and space to lead properly
* Ongoing training and professional development
* A genuine focus on work-life balance
If you are looking for a role where your leadership is respected, the basics are already strong, and there is space to build something even better, this could be the right next move.
