Avery Healthcare is one of the UKs largest providers of luxury elderly care homes, with a vision of "creating meaningful lives together." We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant to join our award-winning team on a temporary basis.
Job responsibilities
Role focus: Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Responsibilities include assisting residents with personal hygiene and recognizing clinical risks, while maintaining dignity and safe systems of work.
* Assisting residents with personal hygiene to support independence, dignity and respect.
* Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas (e.g., weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, infections) and escalating identified risks promptly.
* Acting courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

* Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards the residents and other people in the home.
* Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
* Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Qualifications
Experience is not required due to Avery’s induction and training program to build confidence within the role. The ideal candidate can communicate effectively, demonstrate initiative, be respectful towards residents, be an efficient worker, and be adaptable to cover a range of responsibilities.
