We are seeking an inspirational and creative Art Teacher to join an exceptional SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in King’s Lynn. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm role working with students aged 5 to 16 years old in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging and therapeutic art lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH and additional learning needs.Inspire creativity, self-expression, and confidence in students of all abilities.
2. Differentiate teaching to provide an inclusive environment that supports all learners.
3. Develop and implement creative projects that encourage teamwork and individual growth.
4. Collaborate with other staff members to create a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.
5. Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and senior leadership.
6. Support the emotional and social development of students while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
Requirements:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.Experience teaching Art, ideally within a SEMH or SEN setting.
8. A passion for supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
9. Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and inspire engagement in learning.
10. Excellent classroom management skills and a patient, nurturing approach.
11. Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills.
