Windchimes offers overnight short breaks for children in Kent aged 5 to 18 years old, who have learning disabilities and/or Autism, and require some additional support needs. These may include health-related needs, behaviours of concern, and assistance with everyday tasks. We support children to have fun with friends and peers, learn new skills, make choices, and be supported in a safe and nurturing environment, allowing families to have a break.
We are looking for someone with:
1. Excellent communication skills
2. The ability to work as part of a busy team
3. High standards of health and safety and cleanliness within the unit
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Awareness of Health and Safety
* The ability to create a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for children, visitors, and staff
* Willingness to keep knowledge and training up to date
* Teamwork skills to ensure safety of all visitors and staff in the unit
* Ability to manage stock of consumable items
* Awareness of COSHH and infection control

This position is based in a children’s unit and is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
