Teaching Assistant – Primary SEN (SEMH) – Andover
A specialist primary school in Andover is looking for a kind, resilient, and committed Teaching Assistant to join their experienced team. The school supports children aged 4–11 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, offering a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to grow in confidence and reach their full potential.
You’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils access learning, manage their emotions, and develop positive relationships. The role involves both one-to-one and small group work, supporting pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour, communication, and classroom engagement.

Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, focusing on emotional regulation, behaviour, communication, and engagement with learning
* Help pupils access learning and participate in classroom activities
* Support the development of social skills, self-regulation, and independence
* Foster calm, patient, and positive relationships with children
Qualifications and requirements
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
* Right to work in the UK
* A driving licence is helpful but not required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
