We are delighted to have been appointed to support their campaign as they look to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to their team to aid with a recent upturn in contracts commencing on site.
Reporting to a Commercial Director, as Quantity Surveyor your duties will include:
* Managing all costs related to new build residential projects from inception to completion.
* Preparing budgets, and relevant tender documentation.
* Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Monitoring project performance and providing regular cost reports.
* Working closely with the construction and design teams to ensure value and quality.
What you will bring to the role:
* Proven experience as a QS within the residential housing / main contracting sectors.
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
* Self-starter with excellent attention to detail.
* Familiar with standard forms of contracts and current building regulations.
* Relevant degree qualification (or equivalent).
You must be confident in your ability to move projects forward whilst ensuring that they meet or exceed the organisational expectations.
Although primarily based in the Glasgow office, a level of hybrid working is available in this position.
