Pupil Support Officer - Enhanced Support Base
Stenhouse Primary School
Salary: £28,046 - £32,010 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 20.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional
We are seeking a Pupil Support Officer to join our team in the Enhanced Support Base (ESB).
The ESB is a specialized provision attended by children diagnosed with autism and other complex needs. Starting August 2024, there will be two classes with eight pupils each, supported by two class teachers, two Early Years Practitioners (EYPs), and three Pupil Support Assistants. The successful candidate will work across both classes. We look for someone with significant experience supporting children with additional needs, who is enthusiastic, reliable, self-motivated, understanding, and patient, capable of supporting our young people in a nurturing learning environment. Being a strong team player, reflective on practice, and passionate about ongoing development are essential qualities.
The working hours are:
* Monday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
* Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
* Friday: 8:00 am - 1:15 pm
This role involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check. Candidates who have spent three or more months outside the UK in the last five years will need to provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.

Our salary range typically reflects the starting salary, with annual increases until the top of the range is reached.
