Computing and Digital at South Staffordshire College are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled teacher to support our Level 2 / Level 3 and Higher Education Computing and Digital courses. Join our dynamic team, which has experienced significant growth and investment by the college.
The ideal candidate will support our high standards by motivating learners, fostering their development, and demonstrating a high level of technical competence with up-to-date practical knowledge of computing practices. Responsibilities include supporting learners' progression towards careers in computing. The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, experience working in a creative environment, and a proactive approach to developing new skills to keep pace with evolving technologies and software used in the games industry.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to contribute to the continued growth of our provision and support the region’s aspirations as a digital and creative hub.
The successful applicant will hold a degree in Games, Computing, or a related field, along with a full teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) or be working towards one. Experience in teaching is essential. Familiarity with software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk, Unreal Engine, Unity, and programming languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, or C# is also required.
