Role Summary
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Move On (Prevention) Officer to join our Housing Services Team. In this vital role, you will provide tailored move‑on and resettlement support to homeless households living in interim and temporary accommodation. Your work will help households to secure long‑term housing solutions, while supporting them to build the skills and independence needed to maintain successful tenancies.
Responsibilities
* Play a key part in preventing homelessness, reducing time spent in temporary accommodation, and helping residents access the right support at the right time.
* Responsible for rental income management, arrears prevention, and enforcement activities relating to interim and temporary accommodation.
* Provide tailored move‑on and resettlement support to homeless households living in interim and temporary accommodation.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
* Knowledge and understanding of housing law, especially in relation to homelessness and income management.
* Understanding of the welfare benefits system.
* Excellent communication and ICT skills.
* Experience supporting customers in housing need.
* Confidence in working directly with vulnerable households.
* Resilience, compassion and an organised professional approach.
* Access to a vehicle and a current driving licence.
