We have a fantastic opportunity for a Town Planning Intern to join our team based in London, with flexible working. This is a 2-week work experience placement. London Living Wage (£14.80 per hour) About the role: The Town Planning team provides specialist planning advice to our customers and across the wider NHS. This includes supporting planning appraisals, applications, protecting NHS property interests, monitoring development plans, and securing developer contributions for healthcare infrastructure (S106/CIL). Our team is a two-time winner of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) In-House Town Planning Team of the Year (2022 & 2024). This internship is ideal for individuals currently studying, or planning to study, an RTPI or RICS-accredited degree in a planning-related field. Our internship placement is ideal for those currently engaged in an RTPI accredited planning related degree and/or a RICS accredited degree or due to pursue an RTPI or RICS accredited Masters. Your role will involve the following: Preparing and producing planning appraisals Reviewing opportunities to secure developer contributions towards new health infrastructure Development plan monitoring and assisting in responding to emerging planning policies Assisting with technical advice and planning research Supporting senior team members when required with current projects What we are looking for: A self-motivated, enthusiastic individual, with an interest in pursuing a career in a planning related field An awareness of the current planning system Excellent communication skills Good time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads Where is the internship located? Face to face in London office as required, alongside hybrid working What are the academic requirements?
