The Position We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Male PE Teacher for a high-achieving secondary school in Coventry. Key Responsibilities
* Curriculum Delivery: Teaching PE across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE PE and BTEC Sport options.
* Coaching & Fixtures: Taking a lead role in the school’s extracurricular program, managing teams for after-school fixtures and tournaments.
* Inclusive Practice: Motivating students of all skill levels to engage in physical activity and develop lifelong healthy habits.
* Assessment: Monitoring student progress and using data to drive improvement in both practical and theoretical PE.
What We Are Looking For
* Qualifications: A degree in Physical Education or Sports Science, alongside QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
* Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of a variety of sports (Rugby, Football, Cricket, and Athletics are highly desirable).
* Leadership: An inspiring classroom presence and the ability to act as a positive male role model for young people.
* Availability: As this is an ASAP start, we are looking for candidates who are either immediately available or on a short notice period.
* Compliance: An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) and a solid understanding of safeguarding in a school setting.
Remuneration
* Paid to scale on MPS / UPS, dependent on experience.
