Your role as an Audit Assistant Manager:
* Lead and manage statutory audits from planning through to completion across a wide range of corporate audit clients.
* Act as the principal on-site contact for clients during fieldwork.
* Supervise and develop on-site audit teams, reviewing work and providing constructive feedback.
* Take ownership of assignments, ensuring delivery to agreed budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
* Support senior managers on large, complex audits and manage a small client portfolio independently.
* Deliver insightful audit findings and contribute to continuous improvement within the team.
* Liaise with clients and prepare high-quality reports across assurance and risk management projects.
* Identify opportunities to involve other specialists to meet wider client needs.
* Manage work-in-progress and billing for assigned projects.
What you'll need to succeed:
* You will be ACA/ACCA/CA Qualified with post qualification experience.
* Have varied client sector background with a focus on corporate audit clients.
* Strong understanding of business cycle controls, recognition of audit risks and business implications.
* Ability to manage and lead teams of junior auditors. Mentoring and delegating work.
* UK accountancy practice experience.
