Job Description
The post holder will deliver a high-quality housekeeping, food and domestic service to patients, staff and visitors, ensuring a clean, safe and hygienic environment across both patient and non-patient areas.
The role includes assisting with meal and beverage service in line with food hygiene regulations, undertaking routine and specialised cleaning tasks, supporting stock management and responding flexibly to service needs.
All duties must be carried out in accordance with Company and Trust policies including infection control, health and safety and confidentiality standards.
The post holder may be exposed to sensitive situations and unpleasant environmental conditions as part of normal duties.
The Role
1. Deliver housekeeping and hostess services to required hygiene and service standards.
2. Assist with preparing and serving meals and beverages, ensuring correct presentation, temperature and records.
3. Carry out routine and specialised cleaning in patient and non-patient areas.
4. Manage stock and supplies responsibly, including assisting with menu collation and ordering.
5. Maintain confidentiality, privacy and dignity at all times.
6. Take part in team meetings, reviews and required training.
7. Conduct yourself professionally at all times on Trust premises.
About You
8. Have fantastic customer service skills and are ready to take them to the next level.
9. Have a social, welcoming personality and can engage with others professionally.
10. Have the ability to work as part of a team while also working confidently on your own.
11. Have a considerate approach and the drive to support others where needed.
12. Have experience working with relevant systems (e.g. MS Office).
