Rate: £81+ per day
Overview: We are seeking an Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join an SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) school in Skelmersdale. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals without formal qualifications in education to contribute to the development and support of students with special needs. The position is offered through Spencer Clarke Group, a leading agency specialising in educational placements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist teaching staff in the delivery of tailored learning programs for students with SEND, under the guidance of qualified educators.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping to reinforce learning objectives and promote academic progress.
* Support students with personal care and other specific needs, fostering independence and well-being.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, where every student feels valued and supported.
* Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and activities, ensuring a stimulating and accessible learning environment.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to the assessment and evaluation process.
Qualifications and Experience: While formal qualifications are not required, candidates should demonstrate some form of transferable experience, such as:
* Personal experience with SEND (e.g., caring for a family member with disabilities).
* Experience working in care or support roles.
* Study or interest in relevant fields such as psychology or special education.
