IMPORT EXPORT MANAGER -OCEAN / ROAD / MUTLI MODAL
Are you an experienced Import Export Manager looking for your next challenge? We are recruiting for a driven and detail-oriented Import Export Manager with strong sea freight expertise and ideally some exposure to road freight operations. Key Responsibilities Import Export Manager: Manage day-to-day ocean freight import and export shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Act as the key point of contact for clients, shipping lines, hauliers, and overseas agents.
Oversee and prepare all required documentation: bills of lading, customs entries, commercial invoices, packing lists, etc.
Ensure full compliance with UK customs procedures and international trade regulations.
Support road freight import/export operations where necessary.
Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any delays or issues.
Provide regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
Continuously seek process improvements and cost efficiencies.
Candidate Profile Import Export Manager: Previous experience in a similar Import Export Manager or Freight Operations Manager role.
Strong understanding of sea freight forwarding, with hands-on import/export experience.
Knowledge of road freight and multimodal shipping is highly desirable.
Familiarity with customs clearance, HMRC procedures, and Incoterms.
Strong attention to detail, excellent organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural logistics team.
