What you’ll be doing:
As a maintenance technician apprentice you operate in a modern manufacturing environment and will be involved in fault finding and repair, planned maintenance and operating mechanical equipment used to manufacture our products. Other maintenance support roles arise within the function, such as planning, logistics and safety to manage the products through their expected service life.

Entry requirements?
England and Wales
- Age 16+
-5 GCSE A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent) Including Maths and English, as well as a science or technical subject for engineering or technical roles. Specific requirements may vary depending on the role.
Scotland:
-5 National 5's at grade C or above + 3 Highers at grade C or above, including English and Maths (excluding Application of Maths) as well as a Science subject for engineering or technical roles.
Some roles may also require additional qualifications or UCAS points.
What is the application process?
The stages of our application process include: a short online application. If you’re successful, you'll then complete an online assessment with interactive activities, and an on-demand video interview. The next stage is competency-based interview, either virtual or face-to-face.

Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
