About the Role
As a Senior Recruitment Consultant, you will own a new-business growth agenda while delivering end-to-end recruitment (perm and contract) across the various markets. You’ll build and convert pipelines, win and grow key accounts, and deliver consistently for clients and candidates. Expect a split of roughly 60–70% business development / account growth and 30–40% delivery, flexing as your desk scales. You’ll operate as a specialist recruiter, developing nuanced market knowledge (functions, technologies, programmes, suppliers, and security-clearance environments) and acting as a trusted advisor on talent strategy, salary benchmarking and workforce planning.
Responsibilities
* Establish a qualified pipeline across priority sub-sectors; convert new logo wins and secure repeat business.
* Agree and deliver to personal targets, with accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene.
* Build a high-quality candidate community (active and passive) and reduce time-to-shortlist for core roles.
* Win or expand PSL/framework or exclusive agreements.
* Demonstrate market presence via content, events and referrals that drive inbound opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Map target markets, design outreach campaigns and run multi-touch BD to win new clients (candidate-led and client-led strategies).
* Lead discovery calls, scope roles thoroughly, advise on routes-to-market and negotiate commercial terms.
* Build, retain and expand accounts through structured account plans, quarterly reviews and cross-sell initiatives.
* Prepare and present proposals, pitches and tenders; collaborate with leadership on pricing and go-to-market.
* Run the full recruitment lifecycle: job qualification, search strategy, headhunting, assessment, shortlist, interview preparation, offer management and on-boarding.
* Write compelling briefs and adverts; leverage LinkedIn Recruiter, communities and headhunting to secure passive talent.
* Manage candidates with clarity and pace, providing high-quality feedback and safeguarding the LUNIQ candidate experience.
* Maintain clean, complete CRM data, accurate pipelines and activity that reflects real deal stages.
* Become the SME in your vertical: talent trends, salary benchmarking, competitor moves and programme dynamics across Aerospace & Defence.
* Understand UK security-vetting environments is a bonus.
* Handle related hiring constraints to advise clients appropriately.
* Uphold ethical, compliant recruitment aligned to industry standards and LUNIQ policies.
Qualifications
* Proven success as a 360 agency recruiter, with demonstrable new-business wins and repeat delivery.
* Track record of building or scaling a desk, negotiating terms and closing roles across mid–senior appointments.
* Confident, consultative communicator who can challenge, influence and negotiate at stakeholder and hiring-manager level.
* Expert sourcing and headhunting skills; comfortable running multiple priorities at pace with strong organisation and follow-through.
* Fluent use of CRM/ATS and LinkedIn Recruiter; rigorous with pipeline, forecasting and data quality.
* Eligibility to work in the UK; strong written and verbal communication.
Bonus Skills
* Experience in Aerospace & Defence or adjacent STEM/Engineering markets.
* Awareness of UK security-clearance processes (BPSS/SC/DV) and government/regulated environments.
* Exposure to exclusivity/retainers, PSLs/frameworks, SoW, or MSP/RPO settings.
Pay range and compensation package
Salary: £45,000 + uncapped commission (accelerators and total OTE aligned to experience and performance). We also offer ongoing professional development, specialist market training and a supportive, performance-driven culture.
