Full time teaching post - required for January 2026 (Part Time considered)
Salary - MPS to UPS
The Governors are looking to appoint a hard-working, inspiring and talented Computer Science teacher to join our existing team and help take St Oscar Romero Catholic School and Sixth Form into the next chapter of its exciting journey.
In April 2025 we were judged by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding' in all categories. The report was overwhelmingly positive about the school and stated “This is a highly aspirational school where pupils truly thrive”.
Our last Diocesan Section 48 Inspection took place in July 2019, which judged the school as “Outstanding” in every category. Both Outstanding judgements were a first for the school and a proud moment in the school’s history.
This is an exciting time for the school and our success is already breeding further success and aspiration. This year, 80% of students achieved at least a Grade 4 in both English and Maths. Our challenge is to improve even further on that.
The Computer Science department is a creative and energetic team, who are always looking for new ways to deliver the curriculum that excite, stretch and provoke curiosity in our students. We are seeking to recruit a new member of the Computer Science team who will bring spark, energy and empathy to the department, as our school continues on its quest to be the best in the country.
If you have a passion to see young people succeed, are motivated and resilient and support our Catholic ethos, please download an application pack from our website Please only use the application form included in the pack and follow the instructions on how to apply which can be found in the introductory letter.
