Overview
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. You will contribute to our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, supporting Residents as individuals with their own stories. You will have opportunities to give something back to Residents by planning and implementing activities and helping the Home Manager organise essential fundraising events, all delivered with kindness.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight Residents, help socialise and engage the home team, and explore new activity ideas based on Residents’ hobbies. You will work with a positive energy and a natural ability to get along with people.
You will have a background working with vulnerable individuals and, ideally, experience developing activity programmes. You should bring strong planning, organisational and IT skills, effective time management, and a genuine, considerate, and kind approach when communicating with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training relevant to their role, undertake additional training as needed, and know how to seek appropriate advice and escalate concerns if action is not taken.
