About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teacher to join a supportive team in Frome, Somerset. As a specialist educator, you will deliver high-quality education to students with diverse needs, helping them achieve their full potential. Responsibilities
1. Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs.
2. Develop individual education plans that cater to the specific requirements of each student.
3. Build strong, trusting relationships with students to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
4. Collaborate with other education professionals, such as teaching assistants and SENCOs, to ensure effective teaching strategies.
5. Employ a range of behavior management techniques, maintaining discipline and supporting students in managing their emotions and behavior.
6. Monitor and record student progress, adapting approaches to meet evolving needs.
7. Communicate with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and promote a cohesive educational approach.
8. Participate in professional development and contribute to the wider school community.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience with SEMH students or in a similar SEND setting.
* Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Resilient, adaptive, and committed to making a difference.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Enthusiastic about extracurricular activities and school events.
