About Magic Club
Magic Club is a charity in Claremont, Blackpool, supporting young people aged 7–18 to gain new skills, build positive relationships, access brilliant opportunities and have loads of fun We run youth club sessions five evenings a week in term time from our venue, and when school's out we do even more: daytime sessions, trips and residentials.
We're more than a youth club, too. We deliver the Duke of Edinburgh programme, Arts Award, 1-to-1 support, community projects, volunteering and training, and we make sure there's always really good food. In short, we do whatever it takes to help young people thrive.
The role
We're recruiting a Youth Support Worker to join our team. During term time you will work hours per week (depending on your availability) across our Club sessions Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays.
· Term-time sessions start at 5:15pm and finish by 9:00pm.
· During school holidays there will be extra hours, daytime and evenings, plus trips, project work and overnight residentials.
You'll help deliver activities and projects, build positive relationships with young people, and support our young volunteers. No two sessions are the same, loads of variety, fun and positive challenge.
About you
· Confident, personable and a great communicator with young people
· A team player who's happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in
· Experience working or volunteering with young people aged 7–16 (essential; paid or voluntary)
· Willing and able to work evenings (with some weekends/overnights when opportunities arise)
· If you don't already have a youth work accreditation or qualification, you're willing to complete one with our support.
