We are known for our commitment to excellence in both culinary artistry and event execution, and we are offering a fantastic opportunity for an Apprentice Chef to join our team. You'll gain hands-on experience across our kitchens and events, while studying towards a Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship – a nationally recognised qualification that covers everything from essential knife skills and cooking techniques to food safety, teamwork, and menu knowledge.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
* Supporting our chefs with day-to-day kitchen tasks across our diverse venues:
* Forage Kitchen fine dining restaurant (10-course tasting menu)
* Eriswell Chequers Smokehouse (authentic BBQ & British classics)
* Events & catering
* Central production kitchen help supplying our venues or learning about bakery
* Preparing and cooking simple dishes under supervision
* Learning how to manage kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and stock rotation
* Developing practical cooking skills and confidence in a professional environment

Reporting to: Exec Chef / Head Chef
Location: Suffolk, with work across our restaurant, smokehouse, café, and event venues.
Hours: Full-time, including evenings and weekends (apprenticeship structured working hours).
