Information
Thank you for your interest in joining our team at Clifton Primary School, where our vision is "bringing out the best in each and every child." We are an inclusive school that believes every child can realise their full potential, and we are seeking a dedicated professional who shares this belief.
We are looking to appoint an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher to start 1 January 2025. The post is offered on either the Main Pay Scale or the Upper Pay Scale, depending on experience. A driven professional with consistently high standards is essential for this role. While all areas of subject leadership will be considered, leadership of mathematics is particularly desirable, and a proven track record of improving standards in maths or transferable experience in raising attainment in another subject will be a strong advantage.
This is also the perfect opportunity for an impactful middle leader who wishes to develop into senior leadership in the future, with scope for professional growth and mentoring. You will be joining a supportive, collaborative team and a committed governing body, all of whom are passionate about making a difference. Our children are our very best advert, and we warmly encourage you to visit the school to experience their enthusiasm and the welcoming atmosphere first-hand.
This is an exciting time to join our school as we continue to build on recent successes and strive for excellence. We want a teacher who will make a genuine impact on pupils\' learning – someone who views teaching as the privilege and honour that it is. If you are passionate about inspiring children, committed to inclusive practice, and eager to contribute to our vision of helping every child flourish, we invite you to apply.
For further details and to arrange a school tour or informal discussion with the Headteacher, please contact Miss Sarah Walmsley (School Business Manager) at 01253 727664. Letters of application should be concise and should clearly demonstrate how you can support us in our next phase of development, including evidence of the impact you have made in your current or recent roles. We look forward to hearing how you could help us bring out the best in each and every child.
Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates. The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a "disclosure". Information provided by you or the Disclosure and Barring Service will be dealt with in a confidential manner in accordance with the DBS\'s Code of Practice. You may view the Code of Practice on the DBS website or alternatively a copy is available on request. Lancashire County Council has a Handling of DBS Certificate Information Policy this is available from the recruiting manager to applicants who are asked to complete a DBS application.
