The West Midlands Genomics Laboratory (WMRGL) in Birmingham is recruiting permanent Healthcare Science Assistant (AfC Band 3) posts.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to Genetic Technologists and Clinical Scientists.
* Perform routine laboratory tasks independently and accurately with minimal supervision.
* Work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
* Apply genetic laboratory techniques to deliver patient care.
Qualifications
* Appropriate qualifications for a Health and Care science role.
* Previous practical laboratory experience desirable.
* Comfortable using a computer and flexible in working style.
Training & Development
* Comprehensive competence‑based training will be provided.
