Our Client, a highly respected engineering and manufacturing business, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in planning and scheduling within a machine shop and assembly environment to make a real impact in a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.

The Role:

Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in the development and control of planning processes across both machine shop and assembly operations. You’ll help drive efficiencies and ensure seamless production scheduling using ERP systems and capacity planning tools.

Key Responsibilities:

* Use ERP software to manage end-to-end planning processes for machining and assembly
* Conduct load and capacity planning to support production demands.
* Schedule machining, subcontract operations, inspection, and assembly activities.
* Monitor and report on progress through KPIs to ensure clear visibility across departments.
* Maintain accurate forecasts for operation completion and final product shipping.
* Present data in a clear, visual format to support decision-making at all levels.
* Work cross-functionally to ensure accurate ERP data and shared planning priorities.
* Liaise with overseas manufacturing facilities to ensure aligned planning.
* Raise and close work orders efficiently to support daily/weekly planning.
* Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and data accuracy.
* Contribute to a culture of safety and compliance with HSE policies.

What We’re Looking For:

* Previous experience in a production planning/scheduling role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of planning systems, MRP, and shop floor capability.
* Hands-on experience with ERP systems (IFS experience advantageous but not essential).
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
* A proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills.
* Confident working under pressure and managing multiple priorities.
* Technically minded with a strong focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
* Excellent training and progression at a company where you are valued
