Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking General Manager to lead the Acute Emergency Medicine Care Group. This 6-month fixed-term post is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the clinical, operational, and financial performance of the emergency care services.
Working alongside the Clinical Director and Head of Nursing, the post holder will support the delivery of national and local access targets, lead service transformation initiatives, and ensure high-quality, patient-focused care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide visible and effective leadership across acute emergency care services
Deliver performance against national targets and local objectives
Lead on business planning, governance, and financial sustainability
Manage service delivery through high-performing multi-disciplinary teams
Drive innovation and quality improvement across urgent and emergency care pathways
Represent the Trust at local and regional system levels
