Position: Critical Electrical Engineer (Data Centre M&E) Location: Essex Salary: £50,000 Shift Pattern: Continental Shift (4 days on, 6 off, 4 nights, 4 off, 3 days, 3 nights, 4 off, rotating every 28 days) Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and skilled Critical Electrical Engineer to join a state-of-the-art Data Centre in Essex. You’ll be directly supporting a leading Data Hosting Company, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of critical systems within the facility. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and power distribution units. Conduct HV shutdowns and respond to electrical faults, troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions promptly to minimize downtime. Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure 24/7 operational uptime for the Data Centre. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company procedures. Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
