ORI.AI is a fast‑growing AI startup based in Cambridge, focused on the future of autonomous driving and intelligent mobility. We work on real‑world deployment and testing of autonomous heavy‑duty trucks, currently operating at the Port of Felixstowe, one of the UK’s busiest logistics hubs.
As our projects continue to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic and hands‑on Entry‑Level Field Operations Technician to join our team.
The Role
This is a practical, on‑site role ideal for someone starting their career in autonomous vehicles, robotics, automotive technology, or intelligent systems.
You will support the daily testing, inspection, and maintenance of autonomous trucks while learning how advanced AI software integrates with real‑world vehicle systems. You will work closely with experienced engineers in both the UK and China.
No prior autonomous vehicle experience is required — training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with testing and daily operation of autonomous trucks at the Port of Felixstowe
* Support vehicle inspections, sensor checks, and basic troubleshooting
* Help monitor systems including cameras, LiDAR, radar, and onboard computers
* Record testing results and maintenance activities
* Work with engineering teams to identify and report technical issues
* Follow site safety procedures and operational guidelines
* Support preparation of vehicles for testing activities
