Job Summary
To ensure that patients are assisted courteously, efficiently and with empathy, and to support other members of the practice team. The Call Handler/Administrator will act as the first point of call for patients; receiving and directing them to the most appropriate care and answering their enquiries. In addition to telephone duties, they will also carry out administrative tasks to support the delivery of an efficient service that Saville Medical Group provides to our patients.

We are looking for 1 full time member and 1 part time member of staff. Please state on your application form which one you are applying for. The hours will vary from, 7am-8pm Monday to Friday to fit the needs of the business.
Main duties of the job
This role involves working in a busy call centre environment, you will be the first point of contact for our patients.
Undertake a variety of administrative duties to support the smooth running of the practice including eConsults, practice emails, prescription requests, scanning, filing and photocopying.
Input data into the patients' healthcare records as necessary
Occasional reception cover when required

SAVILLE MEDICAL GROUP is a large and friendly Practice in the centre of Newcastle with a branch surgery at Newbiggin Hall.
We care for approximately 42,500 patients with a high proportion of students in the City Centre and a more typical population in the branch surgery. The workforce consists of 7 GP Partners, 24 Salaried GPs and an extensive Nursing team. In addition, we have a medicines management team including 3 Clinical Pharmacists and over 40 skilled staff members.
We also offer an expanding wellbeing team of 10 staff members with experience in mental health, dementia, children's charities, homelessness, substance misuse, domestic abuse and any patient who struggles to engage with services and needs more support than GPs alone can provide.
Our Primary Care Network is led by one of our GP Partners and Practice Manager enabling us to collaborate with numerous key partners including the CCG, Newcastle Hospital Trust, LMC and our Federation. This helps the practice to remain highly proactive in integrating the latest healthcare policy and digital systems, which makes every day challenging and rewarding.
