Are you a Teaching Assistant with SEND experience? Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Special Needs School in Scunthorpe. This is a full time and long term role with the possibility of this role going permanent for the right candidate. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to students with complex needs, physical disabilities and other special needs. This role gives you an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young students and work closely with teachers to ensure students receive the necessary support to excel academically.
Responsibilities:
* Offering support to students with their studies, including one-to-one.
* Support pupils with complex needs.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
* Providing guidance and support to students, ensuring their welfare is protected.
* Contributing to the development of school policies and strategies.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, working within care or support roles.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* The ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
* A caring and nurturing personality.
* A strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
* A valid child only DBS check.
This is a term-time only role, making it an ideal opportunity for those seeking a role with more flexibility to balance work and childcare commitments. The role is to start ASAP and likely to last until July 2025.
