For this role you must be able to drive to be able to reach our site and to drive our mobility vehicles.This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with individuals to help them develop life skills, achieve personal goals, and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.For more information about our charity, visit www.autism-anglia.org.ukLocationPeldon Campus, Church Road, Colchester, CO5 7PTSalary£25,022.90 per annum (£12.97 per hour)HoursFull-time: 37 hours per week (overtime available)Part-time: from 26 hours per weekPlease note, unfortunately we do not offer sponsorships and candidates must have the eligibility to work in the UK.About the roleAs a Senior Support Worker, you will:Work in partnership with the team to provide person-centred, outcome-focused support.Maintain the dignity, privacy, and wellbeing of each individual, assisting with personal care, health, and hygiene.Support individuals in a variety of activities, including sport, leisure, cultural and recreational events, day trips, and holidays.Ensure that the quality ofsupportgiven meets the identified needs and that all relevant documentation is regularly reviewed, evaluated and amended as necessary.Assist with communication, sensory support, or psychological monitoring and interventions.Ensure all support plans, risk assessments, and documentation are accurate, up-to-date, and reflective of individual needs.Follow Safeguarding procedures and act promptly on any concerns.What we're looking forWe welcome applications from individuals who:Have extensive experience as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant (HCA), Carer, Senior Support Worker, or Team Leader, preferably with autism or learning disabilities.Hold a full UK manual driving licence.Can identify and support the needs, wishes, and aspirations of individuals with communication needs.Are experienced in providing intensive behavioural support.Have strong communication skills and experience coordinating activities in the local area.Most importantly, we are looking for individuals with compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for empowering others.Benefits & SupportAt Autism Anglia, we know our staff are key to our success.
