Job Title: Part Time Building Supervisor

Job Description Summary: Provide evening/weekend supervision and support for student staff at the Sports and Recreation Center in the absence of the PERA department professional staff.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for all aspects of operations, safety, and customer service at the Sports and Recreation Center.
2. Be a visible, welcoming representative of the PERA department to weekend users, including rentals and special events.
3. Respond to and understand protocols for handling medical emergencies.
4. Assist with setup, maintenance, and cleanup for campus-wide events and rentals (e.g., athletic events, career fairs, open houses).
5. Oversee communications: answering phones, taking messages, addressing questions from students, faculty, administration, staff, alumni, and visitors.
6. Coordinate mandatory in-service trainings and workshops for student employees.
7. Participate in maintenance management of PERA facilities.
8. Work scheduled weekend shifts punctually.
9. Supervise Control Desk student workers and delegate tasks.
10. Supervise Intercollegiate Club Sports home contests.
11. Communicate policies related to Recreational Sports effectively.
12. Assist with processing memberships, locker rentals, and renewals.
13. Update the WPI community on building updates.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail.
2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
3. Ability to work weekends.
4. Attend bi-weekly meetings.
5. Certified or able to be certified in CPR and First Aid.
6. Criminal background check.
