Job Description: As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions to support timely management reporting. You’ll work across various finance areas, from accounts receivable and payable to VAT and audit support, while also contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities: * Manage AR invoicing and credit control activities. * Process supplier invoices, resolve queries, and prepare payment runs. * Support monthly balance sheet reconciliations and management reporting. * Prepare quarterly VAT returns for review and submission. * Assist with internal and external audits through data gathering and validation. * Reconcile and post company credit card expenses. * Maintain and improve records management, exploring opportunities to digitise processes. * Support financial close activities, including fixed assets, leases, and inventory. * Provide ad hoc financial support to the wider finance team. * Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives. Skills & Experience: * Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar finance role. * Strong knowledge of accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger processes. * Experience with ERP systems and an interest in automation or process improvement. * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. * Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other finance-related software.
