As Geotechnical Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
1. Working on the geotechnical team and managing project workloads
2. Identifying geotechnical risks and proposing effective mitigation strategies
3. Delivering concept and detailed design work including foundation design, slope stability and retaining walls.
4. Producing high-quality technical reports including Ground Investigation and Geotechnical Design Reports
5. Mentoring junior staff
6. Supporting colleagues across other offices as part of a wider geotechnical team

To succeed in this Geotechnical Design Engineer role, you should have:
13. Design experience within civil or geotechnical engineering consultancy
14. Have or be working towards chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (or equivalent)
15. Familiarity with geotechnical design software, AutoCAD, and MS Office
16. Experience in rail projects (preferred but not essential)
17. Relevant experience in areas such as slope stability, foundation design, earthworks, soil nails, retaining structures, and pile design
18. Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
19. Clean UK driving licence
20. Live in or near to London
