Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our vibrant team at our family run Shellfish restaurant and takeaway. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position involves engaging with customers, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Duties
* Greet and welcome customers as they enter the establishment, providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
* Assist with food preparation, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to health and safety standards.
* Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations when necessary.
* Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
* Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any customer concerns regarding their meals.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining spaces and service counters.
* Assist in catering events as required, ensuring all aspects of service meet our quality standards.
* Uphold food safety regulations at all times, ensuring compliance with health codes.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
* Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices is advantageous.
* Experience in bartending or catering is a plus, enhancing versatility within the team.
* Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour to engage effectively with customers.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong teamwork skills, with a willingness to help colleagues as needed.
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
