Fife Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) – Senior Nurse Therapist (CURT)
Fife Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual to take on the role of CAMHS Senior Nurse Therapist within the CAMHS Urgent Response Team (CURT).
This post will enhance the current provision for children and young people who, as a result of their mental health, present with acute and significant risk and require urgent specialist assessment and treatment. You will join a well‑established team with the aim of providing effective and timely community or hospital‑based assessments and therapeutic interventions.
You will be required to manage an individual caseload and be able to assess and deliver a range of therapeutic interventions on an individual, family and group basis to children and young people with a wide range of mental health difficulties. The post holder will also demonstrate the ability to work autonomously in a wide variety of hospital and community settings.
Applications are invited from individuals who are passionate about children’s mental health and are qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse. Evidence of continuous professional development is welcomed, alongside the ability to demonstrate skills and competencies normally associated with relevant experience in a Child & Adolescent Mental Health setting. Applicants must be able to respond to the needs of the service and locality, which will include the ability to travel across Fife and wider as required.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
